Presidential candidate draws enthusiastic crowd

Presidential contender Ben Carson made a stop in Austin today, drawing what local television news station report Mark Wiggins of KVUE called "a modest but enthusiastic" crowd.

Appearing at the Research Boulevard Costco in Northwest Austin to sign copies of his book, "A More Perfect Union," Carson attracted a good showing of fans and supporters, many of whom took a long lunch break to attend the noontime event. Carson was until recently on the board of directors for Costco.

This makes up for a snub by an Austin ISD school, which denied Carson an opportunity to speak in Austin a second time this week.
