Courthouse campaign urges Democrats to turn around and drown

Even though ... there's still Election Day ...

Even though ... meteorologists across Travis County are urging people to stay home.

Even though ... schools are closed.

Even though ... the City of Austin sent home all non-essential personnel.

Even though ... some areas in the county have experienced record water levels.

... the pro-courthouse bond organizers say "Sure, go ahead and vote!" And just the Democrats, apparently.

Maybe if you live downtown it's not such a bad deal. But to many residents in areas where the drainage isn't that great, or located past our hundreds of low-water crossings (489 of which are closed at time of writing), that might not be the best plan. Given, this post was made 11 hours ago, but shouldn't the responsible thing to do be to not waste taxpayer money take it down?

(Credit to Leland Freeman for bringing this to our attention.)

UPDATE: It gets even more desperate. Now they're trying to link opposition to the civil courthouse bond to opposition to gay marriage.

And it gets more desperate, yet: a robocall from a noted gay rights activist attempting to tie Zimmerman's personal moral beliefs to a fiscal issue such as the civil courthouse bond. (Maxey.m4a)
