UPDATES:

8:15 p.m.  The Statesman is calling it for Ted Cruz in Texas, with an 11-point lead. Travis County numbers are still forthcoming.

9:38 p.m.  At around 9 p.m., several media outlets were reporting that there were still voters in the queue at several Travis County polling sites -- hence, the final results will be delayed as the lines diminish.

11:29 p.m.  About 80% of precincts have reported, and local races may be reliably called. Contested race winners at this time include: Incumbent Commissioner Gerald Daugherty beating first-time candidate Jason Nassour by a nearly 3-to-1 margin; Incumbent Rep. Paul Workman besting rival Jay Wiley 60-40%; and, seemingly by random selection, "alternative historian" Robert Morrow is ahead of incumbent James Dickey for Travis GOP Chairman 56-44%. Of note, Precinct 312 incumbent Chair Jerri Lynn Ward hangs on to her seat by a margin of three votes after a challenge by Alton Moore -- every vote counts, especially down-ballot.
